Our typical 'production' products have various anodized finishes to add color and surface durability. But, the parts start as bare machined aluminum... we like to call it proto aluminum. We recognize there are many people out there who want their machined metal pens to like like, well, machined metal. Bare aluminum will develop it's own look over time, with scuffs and scratches adding a well used, individual look.
