First off, bare brass does readily develop a patina over time. It can be periodically cleaned to keep it shiny if desired. Given the knurl and grooves, a dip style tarnish remover would be best to restore shine. We say embrace the patina!

It's a prototype, what does that mean?
We've been planning on making an all brass Roady... and these are the first ones. We're happy with how they turned out, so we will make more in the not too distant future.
These are machined bare metal parts. Through use these pens will likely take on some degree of wear marks and scratches, and again brass does readily patina.
